Company Description

Our client is a MNC dealing with Consumer Products in the F&B environment.
For this client, Timeo-Performance is now recruiting a Network and System Manager for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Missions
•Responsible for the operating system and technical project management. Provide system-level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems
•Install, setup, and monitor local area network (LAN). Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure LAN performance meets company and user requirements
•Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources
•Manage different providers (hardware, telecommunication, support…)
•Elaborate and manage for the total IT systems/communication budget for Asia Pacific

Main activities:

System & Network administration, support and maintenance:

•Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems, hardware and software interfaces with the operating system
•Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration
•Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security
•Administer network workstations, utilizing one or more TCP/IP or non-TCP/IP networking protocols and/or Windows based operating systems
•Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users, following to the Group Security Policy
•Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions
•Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, MS workstations, file servers, ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment
•Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures
•Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards
•Write and maintain system documentation


Improvement actions:

•Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems
•Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures or problems to define data processing needs
•Inform about authorized procedures and seek assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise
•Document network problems and resolutions for future reference

Providers’ management:

•Selection and implementation of telecommunications
•Define a list of providers for new IT project implementation, elaborate projects Request For Quotation, selection providers and manage them


Project management:

•Prepare and ensure the follow up of the project planning and alert in case of planning delay, including
-Organize workshops and schedule between providers and RC project members
-Elaborate and monitor monthly budget
-Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems

Training

•Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems


Qualifications

•Graduate with Bachelor or equivalent degree
•At least 7 years experience in a similar position/environment
•Hands-on, used to working on the field
•Customer service mindset
•Effective listening and communication skills
•Able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, multi-tasking is essential
•Autonomy at work, initiative and flexibility
•Open-minded and challenge-oriented
•An experience in Telecommunication would be a plus
•Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus
